A Little Late, But....

Merry Christmas :)
Stuff I learnt from my Rome trip:
1. Cardinals are appointed by the Pope and they in turn elect a new one when the current pope
dies.
2. Cardinals over the age of 80 are not allowed to vote but their knowledge and expertise is
nonetheless highly valued. For more info, click here.
3. Caffe (espresso) - a small cup of very strong coffee
4. Caffe Americano - American-style coffee, but stronger; weaker than espresso and served in
a large cup
5. Caffe doppio - double espresso
6. Caffe latte - hot milk mixed with coffee and served in a glass for breakfast
7. Caffe macchiato - espresso "stained" with a drop of steamed milk (basically the opposite of 6)
8. Cappuccino - espresso infused with steamed milk and drunk in the morning but never after
lunch or dinner
9. Caffe stretto - espresso with less water; rocket fuel
10. Gypsies no longer carry tamborines and dance around with a lil' goat ala Disney's Hunchback
of Notre Dame; in the current day and age, they travel in pairs, breastfeed in public, carry pieces of cardboard, wear headscarves and try to pick your pocket. Kick them.
